You can also get Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids from foods like Flax Seeds and Walnuts. In general, essential fatty acids are the best foods to prevent acne in most cases.

Food rich in Allicin

Allicin is a chemical substances that have the ability to kill harmful viruses and bacteria. Garlic is one of the foods that has ample Allicine naturally. Allicin has a yellowish oily liquid appearance and accountable for the powerful odor that garlic produces. Cooked garlic does not have a high Allicin content so raw garlic is best recommended.

The antimicrobial features of Allicin, helps to eliminate acne possibly by integrating adequate raw garlic in your diet or by using it over the acne as it minimizes inflammation and dries up the acne rapidly. Other Allicin-rich foods are leeks, onions, shallots and chives in their purest and raw form.

Foods To Stay Away From

Eating some types of foods may aggravate acne to a certain extent. For example, Iodized salts and Iodine rich foods trigger acne outbreaks. Try Sea Salt instead, that has lower Iodine content. Stay away from foods that are very rich in refined sugar since those foods increase your blood glucose levels and insulin.

Eating too much Milk chocolates can also cause acne. If you can limit your chocolate consumption, that's good, however; if you cannot, you must shift to the darker chocolate variety that is really great for the body and skin since it consists of antioxidants called Flavonols that protecting the skin's from hydration.
