Teenage Acne Treatment

Acne is in its active stage during the puberty and teenage stage. This is because of the changes of hormones in the body and a way of coping. Here are some of the basic methods of teenage acne treatment.

Hygiene is very important. Washing the face at least twice a day helps unclog the pores and prevent the appearance of whiteheads and blackheads. Washing also helps remove oil from the skin so breakouts don’t occur as often. When choosing a facial wash, be sure to select washes rather than scrubs. Scrubs claim to have an exfoliating effect and remove twice the dirt, but they can also leave the skin dry and may even scar the skin if overused. An oil-free hypoallergenic moisturizer may be applied after washing.

Teenage acne treatment also includes astringents and toners for the skin. Be picky with toners that contain alcohol. The myth with alcohol-based toners is that they are more effective than the mild ones. While this is partially true, these alcohol-based products also cause the skin to become dry and flaky and may even increase the appearance of blemishes.

Keep your hands away from your face. While this advice may sound simple, this is actually true. Imagine all the bacteria that have accumulated from touching stuff all day, and then imagine all these dirt coming in contact and staying on your facial skin. Diseases usually come from viruses and if we don’t wash our hands that much, then we might get sick or develop acne.

Avoid using too much cosmetic products. Makeup is used daily especially for women, but if we can just stick with the basic face powder and lipstick, the better. This is because cosmetic products contain other ingredients which might be harmful for the skin. If we can’t go on everyday life without makeup, make sure to have a good cleanser for wiping it completely. Never sleep with makeup. This is a top rule in teenage acne treatment. Doing so can cause the cosmetic products to stay on your skin overnight, clog your pores, and leave your skin dirty the next day.

  1. I’m at my wits end and just running out of ideas as to what to do. I think I was likely born with acne because ever since I can remember, I have without fail had those putrid little all over my face.

It has gotten so bad that I feel like crying and I’m not excited that school is starting up again as it will just irradicate the little self esteem I have left even lower.

So, once again online and asking for helpfull tips from strangers around the web if they have any recomendations that I have not already heard from millions of other places aleady.

A little information about my treatment routine, basically, if it is available over the counter then I’ve possibly bought it before. None of it has been any good and has even caused bleaching.

The couple creams I haven’t tried yet are Proactiv solution, which I already bought at an online acne site .

I mean if Justin Bieber says it’s good then it really must be true, right? I do not know if this stuff will work? Probably not.

So that is why I am here asking you folks if ya’ll got any ideas you would like to suggest, I’ve read a lot on this and other sites already but had no luck reading anything new.

Thank you for hearing me out.
